Indoor Track Season
We are pleased to announce that our indoor season is now open for public registration. We have limited spots available to ensure we can properly social distance from other athletes, but there is room in the program. The last registration events will be held on Nov 10, 2020 between 5:30 – 6:30PM at the First Choice Savings Centre Tim Hortons common area.
Costs of the program are $150 per athlete, and all participants are required to register with Alberta Athletics for insurance purposes. Under no circumstances can training occur without a valid Alberta Athletics registration number.
Minimum age for participation is 10 years old (no exceptions). We cannot take younger athletes at this time, we apologize if it causes issues, but there is no wiggle room on this issue.
Costs for each program are as follows:
- Cross Country – $25 (Sep 3 – Oct 31)
- Indoor Season – $150 (Nov 5 – Mar 31)
- Outdoor Season – $150
Due to insurance reasons All athletes must register!
We require club members to join Athletics Alberta (AA) as they provide our liability insurance. On joining Athletics Alberta the athlete will receive a registration number which is required to join LTFC. You can apply for either for a year, or just for the season, both available here under the Membership tab: www.athleticsalberta.com
Membership must be renewed appropriately or we cannot allow athletes to participate. If athletes are found to not have valid registration numbers we must ask them to not join us in practices
Fees payable in person at practice or registration nights only through cash or check. We cannot accept credit card payments at this time. We ask all members to bring their Athletics Alberta receipt as proof of membership.
We run introduction programs for athletes 10-12 years of age using the RUN, JUMP, THROW, WHEEL program which is endorsed by Athletics Canada. This gives athletes an opportunity to be introduced to all the different Track and Field disciplines while being coached in the correct techniques.
For athletes ages 13-18 we run developmental programs for speed, power (Sprints, and Jumps) and for distance 800m and up.
