Outdoor Track Season

Although its still freezing outside, its time for us to start thinking about our outdoor season.  The outdoor sessions will be run between April 2, 2019 through July 11, 2019 at the outdoor U of L stadium track between 5:00-6:30 PM.  The program runs every Tuesday and Thursday at the same time.   Minimum age for participation is 10 years old.

Costs for each program are as follows:

  • Cross Country – $25
  • Indoor Season – $150
  • Outdoor Season – $150
  • All three programs – $300

Due to insurance reasons All athletes must register!

We require club members to join Athletics Alberta (AA) as they provide our liability insurance. On joining Athletics Alberta the athlete will receive a registration number which is required to join LTFC. You can apply for  either for a year, or if this is your first time with us you can get a 14 day trial registration, both available here:    www.athleticsalberta.com

Membership must be renewed annually or we cannot allow athletes to participate.  If athletes are found to not have valid registration numbers we must ask them to not join us in practices

Fees payable through PayPal

About Us

We run introduction programs for athletes 10-12 years of age using the RUN, JUMP, THROW, WHEEL program which is endorsed by Athletics Canada. This gives athletes an opportunity to be introduced to all the different Track and Field disciplines while being coached in the correct techniques.

For athletes ages 13-18 we run developmental programs for speed, power (Sprints, and Jumps) and for distance 800m and up.
